Directions for Use
Use only NeilMed® SINUS RINSE™ packets with distilled, micro-filtered (0.2 micron), commercially bottled, or previously boiled (for 5+ minutes) and cooled water at lukewarm or body temperature.
Do not use tap water unless it has been boiled and cooled properly.
Replace the bottle every three months for safety and hygiene.
Inspect bottle, cap, and tube for damage before use; replace if damaged.
Rinse nasal passages once daily (recommend one hour before bedtime to avoid drip-down).
Keep nasal passages open during rinse; do not rinse if completely blocked or if you have ear infections or blocked ears.
Stop use and consult your physician if you feel ear pressure, burning, or discomfort.
Warnings & Precautions
Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional.
Keep devices clean to avoid contamination.
Do not use on children or adults with physical or mental disabilities without medical advice.
Do not swallow solution; accidental ingestion is not harmful due to low sodium content.
Not suitable for bedridden or severely debilitated patients who cannot stand or bend near a sink.
Avoid use if you have had recent ear or sinus surgery without consulting your doctor.
Tips to Avoid Ear Discomfort
Keep mouth open while rinsing.
Do not hold your breath.
Tilt head properly as per instructions.
Squeeze bottle gently—do not forcefully.
Stop if fluid sensation near ears occurs.
Blow nose gently after rinsing.
Managing Post-Rinse Drainage
After rinsing, lean forward, tilt head sideways, and gently blow your nose several times to clear excess solution and mucus.
Avoid rinsing right before leaving the house or bedtime if delayed drainage is a frequent issue.
Additional Important Information
Avoid homemade saline mixtures; only use NeilMed packets for correct concentration and purity.
One blue packet mixed with 240 mL (8 fl oz) water makes isotonic saline solution; two or more packets make hypertonic solution.
Store kit and packets between 15°C and 30°C.
